I teach modern embroidery techniques on knitwear, helping knitters add colour, texture, and personality to their garments in an accessible, design-forward way.

My workshops are structured, beginner-friendly, and engaging – with a focus on creating beautiful, wearable results.

I hace taught hundreds of students across Canada and the UKand I love creating a welcoming, confidence-boosting classroom experience.

I am available to teach workshops for yarn shops, guilds, fibre festivals, retreats, and international events.

I offer flexible workshop formats to suit a variety of events, including:

2–3 hour sessions
Half-day and full-day workshops
Multi-day retreat programming

Workshops can be adapted for different skill levels and group sizes.

I am experienced in teaching both small, intimate groups and larger classroom settings, and I strive to create a warm, supportive, and engaging learning environment.

Materials can be provided as full kits or coordinated in advance, depending on the needs of your event.

I am available for travel and international teaching opportunities.

I offer a range of workshops that are beginner-friendly, engaging, and designed to leave participants inspired. All materials and techniques are clearly explained, making them ideal for mixed-skill groups. All workshops can be done either on knits or on other fabrics. Don’t see what you’re looking for? snowflake embroidery

Snowflakes Workshop (1-2 hours, can be lengthened to include more snowflakes)
A quick and fun session to stitch delicate snowflake designs—ideal as a festive event or add-on activity, and is popular with guilds looking to offer online workshops that can be done in an hour!

White Flower Beginner Workshop (2 hours)
A gentle introduction to embroidery basics while stitching a simple flower motif. Perfect for complete beginners! Stitches covered: Satin stitch, french knots, straight stitch, and backstitch.

Introduction to Thread Painting: Cardinal (2 hours)

Learn long-and-short stitch, satin stitch, and straight stitch while creating a striking red cardinal. Stitch overed: Long and short stitch, straight stitch, satin stitch.

Embroidery with Yarn (2-3 hours)
A workshop designed specifically for those who want to embroidery with yarn! Participants will embroider blossoms onto knits using yarn and stick-and-stitch patterns. Stitches covered: Satin stitch, fishbone stitch, french knits, backstitch.

Floral Embroidery Workshop (3 hours / half day)
Learn to embroider or just brush up on your skills with this detailed workshop! Great for those wanting to customize their knits in a unique and wearable way, while learning many key embroidery stitches: satin stitch, french knots, daisy stitch, backstitch, and straight stitch.

Photograph Your Knits (Or Crafts of Any Kind!)

This is a workshop I love offering, but it is very hands on- so I only offer it in person! Participants bring 2-3 items they would like photographed, finished or in-progress. I go through a variety of smartphone photography techniques that help anyone take better photos with your smartphone- flatlays, modelled, and more! Participants leave with photos of their items they can use for social media, patterns, and more. In the above four photos, I took all of them all by myself- including the photo of me! And I can show you how to do it, too.
